Who We Are
Girls Should Thrive Initiative (GiST) was initiated in January 2012 as Girls In Search of Truth, an online platform focused on sharing stories to inspire women and girls to follow their dreams, overcome limitations and succeed.
We gained over 1000 following and were able to inspire 140 girls to take actions on their dreams, speak up about abuse and seek help as well as take responsibility for other girls through the GiST mentor her program.

Safe Space Program
Safe space program is a robust engagement program running weekly through out the year to provide girls with activities that keeps them engaged while they navigate through their challenges.

March Against Hunger
An annual program held in March every year where we reach out to thousands of hungry families with food and household items to sensitize them about the dangers of poverty and hunger.

Health For Her
Health for her project is focused on addressing issues surrounding rape, menstrual hygiene and maternal health (especially teenager pregnancy).

Feed From Farm
This program introduces and trains young women to become agriprenuers. We take 10 women on a 6-12 months training in crop and animal farming where they learn how to start, run and grow an agricultural business.

Support Her Effort
Support Her Effort program is aimed at encouraging female small business owners who are making efforts to become financially independent.
06.
GiST Film Academy
Amplifying the voices of girls and addressing social issues through movies.
